I think everyone thought "pickup truck" with that "built to last" line. It's definitely a sticky image. I don't think the ending was bad. I just thought it wasn't neat. I didn't care for the "built to last" phrase, which he said at least four times. Reminds me of a rusty pickup truck. I was also puzzled by his shout-out to Apple/Jobs, while criticizing offshoring. Over the last few weeks, Apple has been pilloried for its offshoring. Overall, I think the President was on his game. His delivery was clear and strong, except for the milk joke. I loved the ending.
