John Watkis is a Toronto-based speechwriter who specializes in crafting persuasive, motivational and inspirational speeches for leaders in the public, private and non-profit sectors. For over 17 years, John has written and delivered speeches to a variety of organizations worldwide. His practical, first-hand experience has taught him what works and what doesn't work when creating a speech. And he uses his experience to craft speeches others can deliver with confidence, clarity and conviction. John is the author of Don't Bite the Hand that Feeds You - How to avoid mistakes that cost you customers and credibility. He also wrote and narrated the Nightingale-Conant training video, Management Skills for New Managers and Supervisors, as well as the audio program, Powerful Public Speaking. John has appeared on CBC: Venture, Breakfast Television, CP24 News and various other television programs. He has been quoted in The Toronto Star, Mississauga Business Times and a variety of trade journals. He is a member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC)and the Alliance of Canadian Cinema Television and Radio Artist (ACTRA). John has developed and delivered training courses for a diverse group of clients including, Bank of Montreal, Moneris Solutions, Hills Pet Nutrition, Ho-Lee Chow, International Customer Service Association and Housing Connections.
